I went into this film knowing absolutely nothing about the storyline; I thought it was going tol be some type of soppy film, involving sisterly love...... yikes, I was 'gob smacked'.
This is an amazing film, quite the tearjerker. It really pulls at the heart strings, I blubbered for the last quarter of the film. It does make you think what you would do with such little time left, and raises issues which surround cancer and donating organs.
It was based upon a Jodi Picoult novel. I would not normally choose to pick up one of her books, but this has definitely encouraged me to read it.
I am trying not to give too much away, but the love that exists between the siblings is incredible and shows the extent that love will take an individual whatever the age, and whatever they may risk.
Cameron Diaz was well chosen and was a delight to see her in a serious role, away from the typical roles she has come to play over the years.
This is a film which you can take something away from. You must see this film with tissues.
